Canned Food Drive
The week of December
9-13 the Bethel Student Council will be sponsoring a food drive for a local
food pantry in Fountain Inn. This pantry
serves the hungry through 12 food pantries in the Upstate. Right now they are very low, especially on
the specific foods listed below, so please consider helping out! Please donate
any of the following items:
Dry Goods: spaghetti, cereal, beans, rice, mixes (any
kind), boxed items, oatmeal/grits, Ramen noodles, macaroni and cheese.
Canned Goods: meats -
i.e. tuna, chicken, etc., vegetables (all kinds), fruits (any kind), tomato
products, and peanut butter.
Treats/Extras/misc.: regular
and /or sugar free dessert mixes, condiments, snack foods, coffee/drink
mixes.Classroom Holiday Parties
We would like to continue offering a healthier balance of food at our class parties (Christmas and Valentine’s Day). Please contact the room mom for your child’s class if you would like to assist with this. We can have fun parties and enjoy healthy food at the same time! For our upcoming holiday parties on December 20th, we will use the following schedule – 10:30 K5, 1st, Irick; 12:00 2nd, 3rd, PMA, Poole; and 1:00 4th, 5th, IMA. Please make note because this is different from previous years. If your child will have an early dismissal after the party is over, be prepared to show your photo ID.
Would you like a chance to win a Sportsclub membership?
We are currently at 70% for PTA memberships, and our goal is to reach 100%! Bethel is known to have a very strong PTA, but we can only do that with your support! Every person that joins the PTA from now until Dec. 9th will be entered in a drawing to win a 3 month couple’s membership to the Sportsclub (valued at $417). PTA memberships are $5.00 each. You can join as many times as you like to better your chances of winning. Family members such as aunts, uncles and grandparents can join also. The PTA membership form is on the website, or you can just send in $5.00 with your child’s name and teacher’s name labeled PTA membership.
Teacher Crockpot Luncheon
PTA will be hosting the annual Crockpot Luncheon for the teachers on
Friday, December 13th. The teachers always look forward to this day and we are
so grateful to be able to treat them. If you are interested in contributing or
volunteering during the luncheon, please contact Ashley Corder at ash.corder@hotmail.com. 
Our next spirit night will be on Thursday,
December 12th at Firehouse Subs on Woodruff Road from 4:00-10:00 pm. Please mention Bethel when ordering. Thank you

Box Tops Contest
Keep clipping those Box Tops!! Please tell your family, friends and
neighbors to keep clipping to help raise money for Bethel! The next deadline
for turn in will be December 20th. The class that turns in the most Box Tops
will win a prize! Send in clipped Box Tops in a Ziploc bag with your child’s
name and teacher’s name.
