Fall pictures will be taken September 23rd (K5, 1st, 5th, IMA, Irick) and 24th (2nd, 3rd, 4th, PMA, Poole). These are the pictures that will be printed in the yearbook.  Picture proofs will come home later so parents can place an order.

Box Tops Contest
Want to win a Toys R Us gift card? Get your neighbors, friends, coworkers, aunts, uncles, grandparents and anyone else you know to clip Box Tops. You can go to www.boxtops4education.com to see a complete list of products. Then just put them in a Ziploc bag with your child’s name and teacher on the outside and send them in to the school. We will be having monthly contests throughout the year. The first contest deadline is September 30th. The top winner from grades K-2 and 3-5 will win a $25 gift card to Toys R Us! So get clipping!!

Vote for Bethel!
This year, Target will give money to schools all over the country for one simple act: a vote. Our school needs just 25 votes to earn a $25 donation from Target. But that's only the beginning. For each additional vote, our school will get $1 more. So please remember that, although the gesture is small, the rewards are potentially huge. Go to www.GiveWith.Target.com to vote for Bethel Elementary School once a week through September 21 or until Target has given away all $5 million.

PTA Reflections Contest
Since 1969, National PTA has hosted the Reflections arts program to encourage students to explore their talents and express themselves. Each year, students in Grades Pre-K through 12 reflect on a specific theme and are recognized for bringing the theme to life through dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography and visual arts. This year the theme is: "Believe, Dream, Inspire."

Information regarding rules and how to submit artwork as well as entry forms can be found at www.greenvillepta.com  Just click on the PTA Reflections tools link found in the upper right hand corner on the site. Encourage your child to participate, who knows, they might end up being nationally recognized!Any questions can be sent to Heather Constantino at haconstantino@charter.net

PTA Memberships
Don't forget to purchase a PTA membership for $5!  We are counting on your assistance to help Bethel reach 100%.  In order to do this, we ask that you join for each child you have at Bethel.  You should have received a membership form in the packet distributed at Meet the Teacher.  If you need another form, please contact your child’s teacher or you can download a form from the school website.  If you have questions, contact Kelly Radecki at mkradecki@charter.net.
