Congratulations Bethel!
Our school has been recognized by the United States’ Environmental Protection Agency as being an Energy Star rated facility. The Energy Star label is awarded when a building has documented superior energy performance with measurable results on the energy it consumes.

Next Year
Looking ahead to the 2013-2014 school year, parents will be allowed to send Mrs. Byrd a letter providing information about their child(ren). This information will be considered as the administrative team makes classroom assignments for next year. You may choose to include your child’s strengths and weaknesses and also his/her learning style. Please understand that we have many students at Bethel, and we will do our best to accommodate students’ needs when possible. Separate letters should be submitted for each child, and you are asked to submit a hard copy of your letter(s). Parents will not be allowed to request a specific teacher. If a specific request is made, it will not be honored. If you choose to submit a letter to Mrs. Byrd, please do so no later than April 30.

Bethel Bash
The Bethel Bash is coming up on May 17th from 4:00-8:00 pm! We still need donations of hair paint, silly string, and confetti eggs. There will be a prize for the class that has the most donations of eggs! Also, we still need volunteers the day of the carnival to help with set-up, selling tickets, selling concessions, running carnival games and rides, and much more. Please email Lori Flaherty at loriyflaherty@gmail.com if you would like to volunteer. For safety reasons, children will not be allowed to play on the playground equipment during Bethel Bash.

Bethel Bash T-shirts
Get your one of a kind Bethel Bash T-shirt this year! Order forms are coming home with your student today (April 26th). One of our students created the winning design being used on the t-shirt. Congratulations to first grader, Julisa, on being our t-shirt designer this year. The shirt color is lime green. Shirts are $10 and order forms need to be returned by May 10th.

Silent Auction
The Silent Auction is held on the same night as Bethel Bash, and it is shaping up to be a great one! The auction has something for everyone! Don’t miss out on bidding for the following: a “Date Night” package, “Dreams Do Come True” Disney Hopper Passes, a “Time to Hit the Gym” package, a “Play Ball” package, photography packages, various jewelry items, a “No Place Like Home” Décor Package, dental packages, a Clemson Tigers Tailgate Table, and a USC Gamecocks Tailgate Table…plus many more!! The grade level baskets are going to “blow” you away! In addition to the grade level baskets you also have the chance to bid on a “Howling Good Time” trip to Great Wolf Lodge this year. Thank you to everyone that donated an item to the baskets. Your participation and support is appreciated!

All auction items and baskets will be on display in the cafeteria at the Bethel Bash! Be sure to stop in and check out all the auction items. Teacher date bidding information will be coming home with your students in Friday folders on May 3rd. Bidding for teacher dates will be done in advance of the auction. Bidding for Principal for the Day, Assistant Principal for the Day, and teacher dates with related arts teachers will take place at the Silent Auction. Happy bidding and good luck!
