Red Ribbon Week
National Red Ribbon Week is October 23rd – 31st.  Each day we will have a spirit day and would love for all students to participate.   See below for the schedule.
  • ·       Monday - BETHEL PLEDGES TO BE DRUG FREE! Wear Bethel shirts or all red.
  • ·        Tuesday- TEAM UP AGAINST DRUGS! Wear your favorite team's shirt or colors.
  • ·        Wednesday- DRUGS ARE RIDICULOUS! Wear mismatched clothing/ridiculous outfits.
  • ·        Thursday- I ELECT TO BE DRUG FREE! Wear red, white and blue.
  • ·        Friday- DON'T LET DRUGS GO TO YOUR HEAD! Wear a hat and/or have crazy hair.


CogAt and IOWA Testing
Second grade students will participate in the Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAt) and the IOWA test.  The CogAt test will be administered October 24 – 26.  The IOWA test will be administered October 27 – 28.  The CogAt test is an aptitude test and the IOWA test is an achievement test. 

Testing Tips:
·                  Get a good night’s sleep the evening before the test.
·                  Eat a healthy breakfast the morning of the test.
·                  Make every effort to be at school each day of testing.
·                  Encourage your child to listen carefully to their teacher.
·                  Remind your child to read each question and response before selecting their answer.\
·                  Encourage your child to do their best work.

Yogurt EntrĂ©e is served only on Tuesday and Thursday – 4 oz. Yogurt,
Cheese Stick, and Roll
