Word of the Week: Tradition
Definition: the handing down of beliefs, customs, or
information from one generation to another
Sentence: We have a family tradition of eating
together every Sunday.
Book Fair
The Book Fair has
arrived at Bethel. The Book Fair will
run from Monday, April 13th – Friday, April 17th. The Book Fair will be open from 7:30am – 3pm. Family Night at the Book Fair is Monday, April
13th from 4:30-6:30 pm before our PTA meeting. We hope to see everyone there!
Bethel Bash
Mark your calendars now for Friday,
May 15th from 4:00-8:00 pm. It will be a night you won't want
to miss! Now's the time to break out those Confetti Egg DIY's that came home
and start sending in your eggs. Make sure you put them back in the carton and
put your child's teachers name on the outside of the box. We will keep track of
our contest to see who's in the lead. We are currently looking for sponsors for
the Bash. If you would like to find out more information about our sponsorship
opportunities or would like to help plan the carnival please contact Lee
Katherine Herczogh at lee_katherine@yahoo.com or Stephanie Yearwood at
glocksandthe3bears@gmail.com.
Spring Pictures
Spring pictures are
scheduled for Thursday, April 9. When student picture proofs arrive, they
will be sent home with students. Parents will return the pictures that
they do not wish to purchase and keep the pictures they would like to purchase.
The money for these pictures needs to be turned into the front office
with any pictures that are returned.
Available Board Positions
We are looking for a few wonderful
volunteers for our executive board. The executive board meets once a month to
plan the wonderful activities for Bethel and our students. We are currently
looking for a Secretary, Historian, and VP of Ways and Means. If you are
interested in any of these positions and would like some more information
please contact Stephanie Yearwood glocksandthe3bears@gmail.com
or Lori Flaherty loriyflaherty@gmail.com.
Spring Picnic
We
are excited about the upcoming Bethel Picnic on Friday, April 24! This
will be held rain or shine. If it rains,
we will eat in classrooms.
Reminders:
- All visitors should sign in through the main office.
- If you cannot find a parking space in our school lots, then please park at the Chinese Church or Brookwood. There is no parking on the road in front of the school.
- All early dismissals will be handled through the front office.
- If you plan to eat at the picnic, please purchase a pre-paid ticket for $3.50 before Wednesday, April 22nd.
