Father/Daughter Dance
Mark your calendars for the Father/Daughter dance. It will be held February 6th, 2015 from 6:30-8:30 pm in the cafeteria. The cost is $5.00 per person. You may preorder or purchase at the door. Katherine Escobar Photography will be available to take pictures of each couple and there will be a $10.00 minimum order for pictures. It is truly a special night for everyone.
Lunch n’ Learn
Would you like to learn more about how to help your child be successful in school? Joan Russell, the Director of the Sylvan Learning Center in Greenville, will conduct a Lunch n’ Learn workshop to teach parents study tools, habits, and skills to use with your child at home. This Lunch n’ Learn will be held on Thursday, January 29 from 12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m. Feel free to bring your lunch and join us for this workshop!

At-Risk 4K Pre-Registration for 2015-2016
At-Risk 4K Pre-Registration begins January 28-30, 2015 To be considered, children must turn four-years-old on or before September 1, 2015. Parents may pre-register at any district elementary school or child development center UNTIL MARCH 2, 2015. Pre-registration will NOT be accepted after March 2. Children do not have to live in the school attendance area to pre-register at that location. Pre-registration does not guarantee enrollment in a GCS 4K program. Children selected for 4K programs must demonstrate academic/developmental needs and/or risk factors such as low family income and low parent education level. Screened children will be ranked district-wide and those most at-risk for school success will receive initial assignments. Notification of 4K acceptance will be mailed to parents late March 2015. PLEASE NOTE: 4K Screening is March 18-20, 2015. Visit the GCSD website(www.greenville.k12.sc.us) for additional information.
