Food Drive
Student Council is
sponsoring a food drive to support our Backpack Blessing program here at
Bethel. Backpack Blessings is a program
that sends home food over the weekend for students in need. The following items are needed: microwave
pasta, individual packets of Goldfish, crackers, raisins, granola bars, fruit
cups, and applesauce. We greatly
appreciate your donations!
PTA Meeting and Holiday Chorus Performance
Please join us on
Monday, December 8th at 6:30 pm for our Holiday Chorus performance
and the December PTA meeting. The chorus
will perform several holiday songs to get everyone in the holiday spirit!
Classroom Holiday Parties
We would like to
continue offering a healthier balance of food at our class parties. Please contact the room mom for your child’s
class if you would like to assist with this.
We can have fun parties and enjoy healthy food at the same time! For our upcoming holiday parties on December
19th, we will use the following schedule – 10:30 K5, 1st,
Irick; 12:00 2nd, 3rd, PMA, Poole; and 1:00 5th,
5th, IMA. If your child will
have an early dismissal after the party is over, be prepared to show your photo
ID.
Teacher of the Year
Congratulations to Diana Dailey, our 2015-2016 Teacher of
the Year! This is Diana’s sixth year
teaching at Bethel Elementary. She
attended the South Caorlina Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities in
Greenville County. She received her
bachelor’s degree from Furman University in voice performance. She also received a master’s degree in music education
from Indiana State University. Way to go
Diana!
