PASS Testing
Students in grades 3-5 will take the Writing
portion of the PASS test March 18th and 19th. Please be sure your child gets
ample sleep before testing, and encourage them to do their best on this assessment.
Spring Sing
Spring
Sing is a Greenville County Schools, district wide choral ensemble for fifth
grade and middle school students. The participating students auditioned and
were selected to practice in this 200 member ensemble. The performance will
take place Tuesday, April 1st at 7:30 PM at the Peace Center. This is a
wonderful honor and accomplishment for the students. The following students
were selected to represent Bethel Elementary School: Prashant Harish, Cari Ann
Nazario, Camila Escobar, Iliana Moore, Olivia Grace Duncan, Haley Rice, and
Nitya Harikumar.

Let There Be Mom is
hosting Seek & Snap, a digital scavenger hunt in Downtown Greenville, on
Sunday, March 30, from 12:00-6:00 pm. The organization is awarding the school
with the highest amount of participation $500!!
Go to www.LetThereBeMom.org to learn more about the Seek & Snap and
to register your team of 4. Seek & Snap is a family, friendly event! Let There Be Mom is a local non-profit
organization that helps preserve the legacies of moms and dads who have been
diagnosed with a life threatening illness.
Extended
Day Registration 2014-2015
We
will accept new Extended Day (after school) registrations March 3rd – 21st.
Depending on the number of registrations, we may have a lottery from the
registrations collected during this time period to determine which students
will receive a spot in the program for next year. Space is limited! Forms are
available at www.greenville.k12.sc.us/bethel or in the front office. If you
have questions, contact our program director at Janice Broyles at 355-4167.
Multiage
Applications 2014-2015
We
will be accepting multiage applications March 3rd – 21st. You may pick up an
application in the front office or we can send one home with
your child at your request. Our Primary Multiage consists of 1st/2nd
graders and our Intermediate Multiage consists of 3rd/4th graders. We will have
open spaces in all four of these grade levels. A structured lottery will be
used to select students for multiage. Parents will be notified of selection
results in April.
Keep
cutting those Box Tops!!
The next deadline will be April 30th. The top student
from K-2 and 3-5 will each win a $15 Game Stop gift card. Send in clipped Box
Tops in a Ziploc bag with your child’s name and teacher.
