Reedy River Run
The
2014 Reedy River Run is coming up on February 28-March 1 and Bethel always has
a great turn out of runners! If you are interested in running in any of the
races, you can sign up for $14 through Mrs. Holly Betsill (kindergarten
teacher). Please see Mrs. Betsill for sign-up sheets and more information.
Checks can be made payable to Bethel Elementary. You can also find more
information at http://www.reedyriverrun.com/. The deadline for signing up for this discounted rate is
February 18th.
Box Tops
Keep
cutting those Box Tops!! Please tell your family, friends and neighbors to keep
cutting to help raise money for Bethel!
The deadline for turn in will be January 31st. The top student from K-2 and 3-5 will each
win a $15 Target gift card! Send in clipped Box Tops in a Ziploc bag with your
child’s name and teacher.
You Are Invited!
Please join us for our School Improvement Council meeting Thursday, January 30th, at 9:00 am. Craig Stine from Public Education Partners will be our guest speaker. He will discuss upcoming legislation that affects public education in South Carolina.
Inclement Weather
Bethel Bash
It’s
the favorite day of the year for the students at Bethel! The annual carnival is
May 16th and we can always use donations and help! Now is a wonderful time to
be on the lookout for cans of colored hair spray. Do you have extras left over
from Halloween? We will even take partially used cans. Also please be sure to
send in your confetti eggshells. Make sure they are empty and dry please. Be
sure to put your teacher's name on the carton and we will have a prize for the
class that sends in the most eggs.
Father/Daughter Dance

mark your calendars now for February 7, 2014!
Bethel will hold the Father/Daughter Dance from 6:30-8:30 in the school
cafeteria. It is truly a special night for the fathers and daughters
alike. Look for more information in your
child's Friday folder.
