Bethel students have been working hard this year to reach a school-wide goal to read at least 100,000 books.  The school recently announced that students actually read 126,570 books!  Bethel’s administrative team followed through with their promise to have pies thrown in their faces.  Brenda Byrd (principal), Susan Skelton (assistant principal), Julie Cooke (administrative assistant), and Kim Brice (instructional coach) enjoyed rewarding the students for their efforts with reading!

Report Cards
Please send in a self-addressed, stamped, business sized envelope for report cards. Report cards will be held for any student owing fees to school – lunch money, lost and damaged books, extended day program fees, etc.

News from the Health Room
All medicine kept in the health room must be picked up by a parent/guardian by Thursday, June 6th at 12:00 noon. Any medication remaining in the health room after that time will be destroyed according to school district policy.

No Parking
Additional ‘No Parking’ signs have been added in front of the school on Bethel School Road.  Mauldin Police Department will begin writing tickets for any who are parked there. Parking on the street is not allowed. Thank you for your cooperation!

Bethel Elementary School principal, Brenda Byrd, was recently named 2013 Greenville County Administrator of the Year! Mrs. Byrd is passionate about public education, and her dedication to the profession is evident in all she does.  Availability to staff and students, commitment to education, decision making based on data, and a willingness to push herself and those around her are just a few of the qualities that make Mrs. Byrd an exemplary leader.  The students, staff, and parents at Bethel Elementary are so proud of her!
